I hand wrapped these rich batik fabrics around cotton line, which I then hand coiled and machine quilted to make it sturdy. I used the raw edge technique with some fray. All fabrics are high quality 100% cotton and show on the inside of this lovely basket too! I just love these colorful batik fabrics with the rich highlights! The pattern created is so unique! These lovely batik fabrics were hand made in Indonesia, using wax resist patterns, which is very labor intensive. The results are gorgeous!
