I hand wrapped these lovely high quality batik fabrics around cotton line, which I then hand coiled and machine sewed to make the basket sturdy. I used the raw edge technique with some fray to give it texture. I used 2 different beautiful batik fabrics and both are 100% cotton and show on the inside too! The cute seahorse on the basket is included for a nice accent.

These pretty batik fabrics have many highlights for a very unique natural color. They were hand made in Indonesia, using wax resist patterns, which is very labor intensive. The results are gorgeous.

The pictures don’t do these justice. I bought several and am soooo glad I did. They’re amazing quality, well made, vibrant colors. I will definitely be buying more for gifts!!! Shipping was unbelievably fast! Bought on a Sunday and received by Tuesday. Highly recommend!!!!
