This lovely knitting project bag will hold lots of yarn!
I hand wrapped this rich turquoise batik fabric around cotton line, which I then hand coiled and machine quilted to make it sturdy. I used the raw edge technique with some fray. I added 2 darker batik fabrics to the base for a nice contrast. All 3 lovely fabrics are high quality quilting batik fabrics and are 100% cotton! These beautiful fabrics show on the inside of the basket too!
I just love these rich batik fabrics! The pattern created is so unique! Both lovely batik fabrics were hand made in Indonesia, using wax resist patterns, which is very labor intensive. The results are gorgeous!
