Minimalist Bread Proofing Basket!
I hand coiled and machine quilted natural line to make this sturdy bread proofing basket. I also made a liner using unbleached linen cotton that can be used as a cover too. The liner is large, so you can line the basket and cover the top all at once.
My lovely rope baskets are very sturdy and do not splinter like rattan baskets, and no nails to rust either! .........Handmade in the USA!

My handmade rope baskets allow some dough moisture to evaporate during proofing.
This allows for easier dough scoring for the bread to open during baking.
It also gives your sourdough bread a little thicker crust. YUM!
My husband bakes all sorts of breads using the baskets I made for him.
He generously flours the basket, but if a little bit sticks, he just washes with water.
He uses this size basket for small and medium round loaf pans.
I love the smell of baking bread! YUM!

I ordered this present for my friend who bakes bread. She was having trouble getting her dough to rise in the winter. This basket was sent as a blanket for her dough. She loves it!
