Gorgeous Batik Fabric Basket!
Artisan Quilted Basket Measures:
5" High, note no Handle,
10" diameter widest top
I hand wrapped these lovely high quality batik fabrics around cotton line, which I then hand coiled and machine sewed to make the basket sturdy. I used the raw edge technique with some fray to give it texture. I used 3 different beautiful batik fabrics and all are 100% cotton and show on the inside too! The pretty flower on the basket is included for a nice accent.
I designed and created this pretty basket in my smoke-free home studio.

The pattern created is so unique! OOAK!!
These pretty batik fabrics have many highlights for a very unique natural color. They were hand made in Indonesia, using wax resist patterns, which is very labor intensive. The results are gorgeous.
