I hand wrapped these wonderful batik fabrics around cotton line, which I then hand coiled and machine quilted to make it sturdy. I used the raw edge technique with a little fray. All of these lovely fabrics are high quality quilting fabrics and 100% cotton! There are 10 different batik fabrics from the Timeless Treasures Tonga Treat pack, Jamboree....... Great contrast! The cute flower on the basket is included for a nice accent.
I just love these beautiful batik fabrics, they all show on the inside of the basket too! Please see the picture with the magazine to help gauge the size of this lovely basket. These batik fabrics are hand made in Indonesia, using wax resist patterns, which is very labor intensive. The results are gorgeous and unique.
