Lovely Blue and Moss Green Fruit Bowl!

3"High and 11"diameter top
I hand wrapped this lovely woodland batik fabric around cotton line, which I then hand coiled and machine quilted to make it sturdy. I used the raw edge technique with a little fray for a great shabby chic texture. I just love the blue highlights! I added a lovely indigo batik fabric to the base for a nice accent.

This lovely batik fabric was hand made in Indonesia, using wax resist patterns, which is very labor intensive. The results are gorgeous and unique. I designed and created this lovely basket in my smoke-free home studio.
